NextGen MIS User Guide¶
Help for the people who run the program day to day — Registration Officers, Payments Officers, Program Managers, and System Administrators. Every page is a short, plain-language walkthrough of a real task, using the same screen names, buttons, and labels you see in the MIS.
This is a pilot section (issue #112)
The User Guide is a new, end-user-facing part of the docs, separate from the internal engineering runbooks. It is organised by role and written for field staff, not developers. The pages below are the first slice.
Find your role¶
Registration Officer → Review applications, approve or send them back, work the fast-lane queue, and run two-stage enrolment batch verification.
Payments Officer → Create and approve payment batches, exclude beneficiaries with a reason, generate the bank instruction file, and reconcile the bank's response.
Program Manager → Read the three dashboards, track the application pipeline, and watch the graduation forecast.
System Administrator → Manage users and roles, configure the program and fraud rules, and use the bank tools.
Not sure which role you are?¶
Your role decides which menu items you see in the left sidebar. If a screen named in a guide isn't in your sidebar, you don't have permission for that task — ask your supervisor or a System Administrator. The guide notes the permission each task needs.
How these guides are written¶
- One task per page. Each page gets you through a single job, start to finish.
- Real names. Buttons, statuses, and menus are quoted exactly as they appear.
- Warnings mean it. A warning or danger box marks a step that moves money or can't be easily undone. Read those twice.
Looking for the why, not the how?
